Experience
I am a PhD student looking for summer tutoring jobs. During the school year, I am a graduate student instructor at SUNY Binghamton in New York. I lead discussion sections of 10-25 students. This involves giving lectures, writing exams, discussing class readings, and grading. I also help my students one-on-one during office hours (teaching them how to more efficiently study for exams, effectively structure an essay, and write with clarity). This summer (May, June, July, and August), I would like to use the skills I have developed as a graduate student instructor to privately tutor high school students and/or college undergraduates. My areas of expertise include: English, History, Geography, Social Science, Anthropology, Archaeology.
